Old-world charm set amongst age-old beauty
Occupying 45 hectares of prime Mediterranean real estate in the South of France, the elegant Belle Epoque vineyard estate of Domaine de la Mandoune has been brought back to life - and transformed in to 30 beautiful properties.
As with all Propriétés & Co developments, the aim here was to retain the heritage and essence of the original estate, while infusing it with modern facilities and a refined Mediterranean ambiance. Local craftsmen worked side-by-side with architects and designers to create a tranquil, stylish resort steeped in the elegance of a by-gone age.
Your very own slice of Mediterranean water-front
A truly unique location on the ‘Etang de Thau’ (a Mediterranean lagoon) gives residents spectacular views of vineyards, lines of oyster beds splayed across shimmering waters and pretty ‘Mont St Claire’ rising from the bustling seaside town of Sète in the distance. From here, you're a short drive away from the charming port town of Marseillan, the delicious seafood of Bouzigues, miles of sandy beaches and even Montpellier, France's 'favourite' city. Or closer to home, just stroll down to the excellent Le St Barth restaurant located where the estate meets the water's edge. It offers superbly fresh seafood, great wine and the region's most spectacular views.
“This is a really quiet, special place to stay with a lovely pool and even a tennis court if you're feeling really energetic! A real "get away from it all" sort of place.”
The South of France as it was always meant to be
The Languedoc-Roussillon is still one of France's best-kept secrets - blissfully untouched by the over-development of Spain or the garish 'bling' and high prices of the Côte d'Azur. This is still a region of working wine villages, with endless sandy beaches, bustling fishing ports and some of Europe's most picturesque countryside - dotted with medieval castles.
“A great place to hide away in style. The use of high quality materials gives a premium feel. The view to the sea is quite amazing, one of the best in the region.”
